Just Finance will track your application throughout the entire process, keeping you updated along the way. Once your home loan has been granted, and you have accepted the terms we have negotiated on your behalf, we then liaise with the attorneys right up until your home loan is registered at the Deeds Office.

Bond Registration Process

There are a number of things that happen at the attorney’s office, so here is a brief overview.

Your documentation needs to comply with FICA (The Financial Intelligence Centre Act), meaning that your identity and residential address details need to be verified.

Your file is prepared upon instruction from the Bank.

There are two sets of attorneys involved in most transactions. The seller appoints the transferring attorney and the buyer appoints the Bond Registration attorney, these functions can however be performed by the same attorney.

Once all the documentation is ready for the transfer of property, cancellation of the seller’s bond and registration of your bond, the documents can be submitted to the deeds office, where the title deed is updated and the changes recorded. You have then become the official owner of the property.
